Our Mission Statement

It is the mission of Living Stones Ministries to introduce individuals and families to the loving and saving power of Jesus Christ. We are committed to proclaim the joy and fulfillment of a life lived in obedience to the teachings of Christ. We provide safe places for individuals and families to openly share their grief and pain about the effects of homosexuality in their family. In support of families who are suffering with the pain of those effects, we develop and distribute educational and inspirational materials. educate churches and organizations through seminars, presentations and conferences. offer spiritual counseling and referrals for psychological counseling. We actively work to encourage the family of God to extend God's love and compassion to the sexually and relationally broken; to be Christ to one another. We also work to provide access to other related support services, such as grief counseling and bereavement.

What We Believe About Homosexuality

Living Stones Ministries upholds heterosexuality as God's creative intent and design for humanity, with its sexual expression realized in the context of marriage and family. God created human beings with a "telos" or purpose for being. God's purpose for sexuality is two fold: procreative and unitive. God saw the necessity of continuing His creation, so He made men and women anatomically and emotionally perfectly fitted for one another. Scripture teaches that the sexual union between husband and wife is not only procreative, but also pleasurable as a byproduct of God's unitive design.

Homosexual expression, adultery and fornication are all outside the will of God and manifestations of sinful attachment choices that beset fallen humanity. Choosing to resolve homosexual tendencies through homosexual behavior, taking on a homosexual identity, or involvement in the homosexual lifestyle is destructive and perverts God's intent for His creation.

The purpose of Living Stones Ministries is to bridge the gap between those Christians who respond to homosexual men and women with ignorance and fear, and those who promote homosexuality as a valid, Christ-centered lifestyle. We believe that both extremes fail to convey to the family, friends and to the struggler the fullness of redemption found in Christ, He who embodies grace, truth, and forgiveness. It is Christ who invites us to partake of Him, and empowers us through His Holy Spirit to be conformed to His design and purpose.

The central mission of Living Stones Ministries is to equip and unite families, friends and churches to support the reparative, restorative, healing process of individuals and their families. As believers, we choose to grow and learn through the difficult challenges life brings to us. As we meet these challenges with the help of Jesus Christ, we learn to trust God, and help others learn trust and grow in Him.

In so doing, we fulfill the Scriptural mandate of this ministry, found in 1 Peter 2:4-5: "As you come to him, the Living Stone, rejected by men, but chosen by God and precious to Him, you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."

Our Statement of Faith

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired word of God, the final authority for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in right living.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, fully man and fully God, the only-begotten Son of the Father. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, buried, and rose physically from the dead. He ascended to the right hand of the Father and will come again in power and glory.
